Holly Hagan welcomes a baby boy with husband Jacob Blythe

has welcomed her first child with husband Jacob Blythe. 

The star confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Monday evening, shortly after giving birth in Greater Manchester. 

Sharing a short post, she wrote: ‘Here’s here!We’re doing amazing. Little hospital update will be on my blog tomorrow morning. 

‘Huge thank you to the incredible staff at Wythenshawe Hospital. I couldn’t have wished for a better birth experience. Just enjoying our little baby bubble.’ 

Holly announced she was welcoming her first child in January, six months after marrying National League footballer Jacob .

Announcing the news in an exclusive video with OK!magazine, Holly told Jacob: ‘Your patience, strength and resilience inspire me every single day and I couldn’t think of a strong role model for our future children.’

The video then cut to Jacob unwrapping a present which contained a positive pregnancy test, leading to a shocked reaction from the footballer.

The following month, Holly announced she was expecting a son after for Geordie Shore. 

At the event, Holly and her husband ensured no expense was spared in their announcement – complete with vast light up letters, amazing flowers, a photobooth and a stunning cake. 

Holly has kept fans in the loop about her pregnancy and revealed . 

When a fan asked if she’d picked out a name during an Instagram Q&A, Holly wrote: ‘We’ve only ever had one name since the start and it was a boy’s name.

‘Never even thought about a girl’s name because I just knew he was a boy.I’m in love with the name.

‘It’s uncommon but after you’re said it a few times you’ll think why isn’t that more common as a name?’

Holly also revealed what she’d found most difficult about her pregnancy.

The star said she’s used to keeping on the move but has had to rest more while she’s carrying her baby.

She explained: ‘Probably the lack of energy!I’m so used to being active and I’ve just felt so lazy and useless!

‘I can barely make it to the fridge and back and you’ve got women doing 13 hour shifts on their feet all day unable to maternity leave until last minute.

‘I don’t think I truly understand the sacrifice until I was pregnant myself.’

While the majority of Holly’s followers were supportive on her pregnancy journey, . 

Holly revealed she had been told to wear ‘a little more to protect the bump’, to which she hit back by saying: ‘I’m sorry but no clothing is going to ‘protect’ my bump.

‘Unless there’s some portable airbag I’m supposed to wear for 9 months please enlighten me’.
