Breaking news: Joseph Pompo cleared of $1 million theft case at Fuccillo dealership

The Post-Standard reports that Joseph Pompo, 33, of Syracuse, has been cleared by a grand jury of stealing more than $1 million from the Fuccillo dealerships.

Joseph Pompo has accepted a misdemeanor conviction on charges related to his departure from the company, but continues to assert his innocence with regard to any allegations of theft.

Pompo stated that he had set up a reinsurance business with the permission of the late Billy Fuccillo Sr., which generated tax benefits for the dealership while also benefiting Pompo financially.

Following his misdemeanor conviction and the forfeiture of $32,913.75, Pompo has gone to civil court in an effort to regain control of the reinsurance company he set up.
